Corinthians is awaiting documentation to finalize the signing of Zakaria Labyad.

Bureaucratic issues are delaying the announcement of the Moroccan midfielder as a new signing for Corinthians.

Corinthians is working behind the scenes to finalize Zakaria Labyad’s administrative situation before officially confirming his signing. The club has not yet received all the necessary documentation to register the midfielder, and therefore the announcement remains on hold.

Even though he is available on the market, the player needs to fulfill legal requirements to play in Brazilian football. Being a foreigner, Labyad depends on a specific work permit for the country, a step that has not yet been completed and is delaying the official announcement of his signing.

“He’s getting his work visa, that’s the point. He’s physically working in the meantime, there’s a physical deficit. Even if he were regularized, he still wouldn’t be included in the list,” said Marcelo Paz in an interview with “Record”

Zakaria is already participating in training sessions and watching Corinthians matches from the stands. A free agent after leaving Dalian Yingbo in China, the player arrives at the club without any transfer fee. The contract is expected to be valid until the end of the season.
